There is so much going on this weekend in the little town with big heart! Ben Wheeler is buzzing with excitement as it get’s ready for it’s Hometown Christmas Celebration!
EVENTS:
Willie Peden Syrup Mill:
The Willie Peden syrup mill will be in operation all day Saturday making old fashioned sugar cane syrup. Mill is located next to the Library. Milling the cane will start around 9am with the first batch of syrup ready by early afternoon.
Ben Wheeler Children’s Library:
Ben Wheeler 2nd Annual Book Fair- 10 AM to 4 PM With 28 authors’ whose works span genres including children’s books, Christian humor, fantasy, literary fiction, historical fiction, horror, mystery, poetry, romance, and young adult fiction. Nonfiction authors include biography, children’s advocacy, memoir, music and culture, photography, and self help. A representative of Black Beauty Ranch will also be present to talk about and, as a fundraiser, sell books about the nation’s largest animal sanctuary.
WalkingHorse Gallery:
Charlie Bullock Open House Reception – introducing Charlie to the gallery – 4 PM to 6 PM – light refreshments and music
Ben Wheeler’s Hometown Christmas Celebration:
5 PM – 7 PM Santa’s parade through town, Christmas program, tree lighting, and Santa & Mrs. Claus greeting the kids- Pickin’ Porch park (make sure to bring a camera for pictures with Santa!)
279 Artisan’s Trail:
Following Rte 279, shoppes along the way will be open and filled with activities and special events. Ben Wheeler, Edom, Blue Moon Gardens – all day
